This week we investigated whether salt made ice melt faster. The children made predictions and used instruments to record their findings.
4k had a fantastic time visiting Bolton Museum. The children took part in an Egyptian workshop as well as learning about the local history of Bolton. Our guide even dug out some very old diary entries from the old Headteacher of our school when it first opened in 1908! The children were fascinated to learn that the school only had four classrooms when it opened and also that the school used to be closed for weeks at a time because of the flu. 😷
Year 4 had an Egyptologist in class this week. The children learned lots of interesting facts about Egypt and how the Egyptians used to live. They especially enjoyed the mummification workshop in the afternoon and were so excited to wrap their parents/ carers. Thank you to all who were able to attend. 👍
