Y5 made wooden structures this week for Raddish, the rabbit, from Suitcase Kid. They used saws extremely sensibly and shared well. Their patience with the glue guns shone through and the end products were amazing!
On Monday, the children visited the Church and Mosque as part of our faith trail. They listened well to the Vicar and Imam and showed respect towards different faiths and implemented what they have learnt in R.E. During the Mosque visit, the children were lucky enough to see men and women in prayer!
Swimming has started! A great first 2 lessons where some children used the noodles to increase their confident whilst the other group learnt about water safety in the deep end.
Our next lesson is Thursday 13th June 11:15-12:15.
In Science this week, the children were given different substances to choose to test with a mystery white powder. These included: oil, cola, water, vinegar, orange cordial and milk. They were checking how the liquids reacted with the solid and recorded their results. It was only at the end of the lesson it was revealed that the white powder was in fact instant snow!
